I opened Bertola Fruitz, inspired by pop up galleries spaces I saw in Japan to share my sculptures with the world.
I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I started to work with clay by chance in 2018. Since then, my sculptures grew in size and ambition.
My work is infuenced by colour and sculptures I have seen in various museums over time. In particular: ancient Japanese, ancient bronze and Outsider art.
All my works are one-off a kind, handmade and built by hand.
I work from tiny space and I use communal worshop to access kilns to fire my work.
